Hello,

my name is Hailey. I am the founder and Clinical Director of Roundsquare Counselling.

My interest in psychology and sociology began during childhood. Growing up with seven siblings in a large, multicultural family sparked an ongoing curiosity about the intricate intersections and complexities of individual and collective human experiences. I completed a Bachelor of Social Work in 2014 and held diverse roles within Mental Health and Substance Use and the justice system before returning to school to pursue a Masters in Counselling Psychology. The exploration of my own difficult experiences brought a realization: it was in ‘the lows’ that I found clarity about what I wanted most, and often, it was right in front of me.

If you are feeling stuck, uncertain, and are struggling, you are already tougher than you think; you will face no greater challenge than remaining in this space-

Keep going.

I know firsthand that there is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach to working through hard things. I invite you to take a small step forward toward what you want, even if you're afraid - the courage to do so will become your greatest strength.

* I have most recently become clinically specialized in providing neuro-affirming care and have integrated this into all aspects of my practice. You can read more about my education, professional experience and clinical specialties by clicking here and navigating to my bio *

What is a roundsquare?

The term 'roundsquare' was coined by my late grandfather. He was known for his many simple yet abstract idioms that somehow made sense of otherwise challenging constructs.

Round·square/noun adjunct/ 1. something uniquely familiar  2. something undefinable by any one word or category.  3. something that is subjective in its interpretation yet has innate intrinsic value.

Why is this relevant to counselling?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling and I have become certified in a plethora of therapeutic modalities. You are a multifaceted human with unique experiences, identities,  values and worldview- I will take a 'roundsquare' approach to our work together.

Where is roundsquare counselling located?

Roundsquare Counselling currently operates virtually across British Columbia.

What is the cost of a session?
